Communities

Choosing where you'd like to live is influenced by many factors including: your commute, your budget, the location of other family members or friends, amenities, and schools. And while your friends or family could move away or you could switch jobs, the location of your property doesn't change.

One thing many people with children want to consider are the public, private, or charter schools nearby. What makes a school great to one family, may be very different than that of another family. There are many online resources that make it easier for you to evaluate area schools. Here are some links to local public schools systems and a link to the GreatSchools.org that evaluates many criteria and make the information available to you before selecting a neighborhood. If you want more information, the individual schools offer report cards so you can evaluate school side by side.

One word of caution, school boundaries can change. Just because a neighborhood is assigned to a school today, doesn't mean it will be when your children might attend.
